There is a worldwide need for drilling, as the demand for virtually all raw materials remains strong. The rugged frame structure of this series makes them ideal for heavy duty drilling. Quarry work – where shallow depth holes are required to lay blast charges needs machines that are able to withstand wear and tear, and be at home in harsh environments. This series is also ideal for shallow water well drilling – they are easily mounted on small wagons and can be towed and transported using a 4x4 or a small truck.

Also perfect for jobs that require a high volume of air. Rock drilling is a business application that has seen strong growth recently, as more and more minerals are mined from the earth. This easy to operate and safe machines allow for a quick start-up in quarries and, ultimately, increase the productivity of the drillers.

APPLICATION

Aggressive blasting

Grit blasting: Internal and external treatment of pipelines, barrels, columns and silos; treatment of construction work; surface treatment of stainless steel; removal of road marks; blasting of swimming pools.

Vacuum blasting: For road marks; concrete floors; tank bottoms.

Recycle blasting: Mobile - internal steel blasting of tanks, barrels and columns; stationary - blasting in a blasting cabin.

Dry-ice (CO²) blasting: Removal of binding medium; cleaning of ink rolls from rotation press; removal of oil products; food industry.

Blasthole drilling

Blastholes in mineral mining are drilled to allow the insertion of explosives in both ore and waste rock. The explosives are then detonated and the fragments of rock excavated and hauled. Ore is taken to the crusher for further processing and waste is kept aside to allow the further penetration into the ore body.

Blastholes in construction are used to also facilitate the explosive placement. However, the rock is used for aggregates or moved to facilitate construction.
   
Dimensional stone quarries

Dimensional stone is used in construction of buildings and for ornamental artefacts.

The stones aesthetics and chemistry make it a valuable commodity for surface finishes & structure maintenance.

Horizontal drilling

Microtunneling provides the opportunity to place conduits under existing infrastructure with the benefit of limiting the impact to the users and the environment.

These conduits are used by service companies to lay water pipes, fibre optics, etc.
   
Geotechnical drilling

Depending on the soil type, certain construction works require ground preparation by consolidation, reinforcement, anchoring, piling or other such geotechnical means.

Holes are drilled for the purpose of placement of these support structures.
