It’s a general rule that drilling at higher pressure makes drilling faster, and allows you to go deeper. Higher pressure requires more free air delivery (FAD) for the hammer, but also more FAD to remove the cuttings more efficiently. Atlas Copco has developed a new generation of compressors that combine efficiency, reliability and safety. Superior productivity is gained by increasing speed, but at an optimal cost.
