The drilling world is a high-pressure business. Every metre drilled costs money, so the faster the holes can be bored the better.
Higher pressure up to 30 Bar (435 psi)
It's a general rule that drilling at higher pressure makes drilling faster, and allows you to go deeper. Higher pressure requires more free air delivery (FAD) for the hammer, but also more FAD to remove the cuttings more efficiently. Atlas Copco has developed a new generation of compressors that combine efficiency, reliability and safety. Superior productivity is gained by increasing speed, but at an optimal cost. The right combination of FAD and pressure, a perfect choice of engine and newly designed air-ends together with special design features make every drilling performance a profitable one.
