The well-balanced pick hammer

Vibration-reduced pick hammers tend to fall into two categories: either they give you good vibration dampening, but poor chisel control. Or vice-versa: ineffective dampening, but good control. With the new TEX 07PE you get the best of both. Plus good impact energy. All in a package that weighs less than nine kilos. Chisel control and vibro-reduction

When you start using the TEX 07PE, you’ll feel at once that you’re in full control: the tip of the chisel stays exactly where you want it and doesn’t have that annoying tendency to wander around. And yet despite its solid feel, the Atlas Copco pick hammer has built-in vibration dampening. To give you more control, the TEX 07PE features our SOFSTART two-step trigger. And to increase control still further, we’ve added an optional side handle.

High impact energy and vibro-reduction

It’s widely accepted that pneumatic hammers give you significantly more hitting power than similar sized electric tools – sometimes up to 100 per cent more. But what’s less well understood is that by getting the job done faster, you are also shortening the exposure time for your operators. And by shortening exposure time, you are of course reducing the negative effects of vibration.

Lightweight and vibro-reduction

The downside of vibro-reduction can be an excessively heavy tool. But at 8.7 kg, we’ve kept the TEX 07PE light. And to ensure a low operating weight, we’ve selected a shank diameter of 19 mm, instead of 22 mm. Three millimetres might not sound much, but it decreases the overall weight by almost a kilo.
